여기서 is는 be동사이다.

1. am / is / are (be동사)는 '~이다' , '(~에)있다' 라는 의미로 사용된다.

I am Emma. I am from New York.

My car is in the parking lot.

Roy and I are at work. We are busy.

2. 일상적인 대화나 글에서 줄여서 사용한다.

I am a teenager. I'm 18 years old.

Eric is at home. He's in his room.

Sarah is my sister. She's a writer.

Our apartment is nice, but it's small.
